Site work for an industrial development in Central City, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade industrial development.
The general purpose of this subcontract is the acquisition of an air handling unit constructed of shipping splits to support installation of the cryostat membrane, insulation, and detector components. The system shall provide conditioned air to the cryostat and circulate air through large feedthroughs in the cryostat roof. The air handling equipment shall connect to the cryostat using non-conductive duct material interfaced with custom duct adapters furnished by FFDG. Electrical connections shall be installed in conduit to the designated power panel provided by FFDG. The scope includes a complete air handling system sized to meet the total required airflow into the cryostats, including all associated ducting, either flexible or fixed, connecting the air handling equipment to the cryostat input ports. The contractor shall be responsible for procuring all materials and for the fabrication, assembly, testing, packaging, delivery, and installation of the completed system. The work supports the Long Baseline Neutrino Facility Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment, Far Detector and Cryogenics subproject.
