Scope of Work: Roof Replacement at 4 Summit Public Schools: 1. Brayton E.S. (Project No. ES9240.02) NJ DOE PROJECT #39-5090-070-23-R502 Removal of existing built-up and membrane roof systems, insulation and coverboards down to the existing roof decks, including removal of base flashings, copings and fascias and installation of new modified bituminous membrane roofing over new coverboards, with new metal fascias and copings. 2. Jefferson E.S. 07901 (Project No. ES9240.03) NJ DOE PROJECT #39-5090-090-23-R502 Removal of existing built-up roof systems, insulation and coverboards down to the existing roof decks, including removal of base flashings and fascias and installation of new modified bituminous membrane roofing over new coverboards, with new metal fascias. 3. Lawton C. Johnson M.S. (Project No. ES9240.04) NJ DOE PROJECT #39-5090-060-23-R501 a. Removal of existing built-up, bituminous and copper roof systems, insulation and coverboards down to the existing roof decks, including removal of base flashings and fascias and installation of new modified bituminous membrane roofing over new coverboards, with new metal fascias. b. Removal of existing slate roof shingles and underlayment down to the existing roof decks and installation of new synthetic slate shingles and underlayment, including ice and water shield. 4. Summit H.S. 07901 (Project No. ES9240.05) NJ DOE PROJECT #39-5090-050-23-R504 Removal of existing membrane roof systems, insulation and coverboards down to the existing roof decks, including removal of base flashings, copings and fascias and installation of new modified bituminous membrane roofing over new coverboards, with new metal fascias and copings Description of Contract: Single Overall Contracts for individual and/or multiple schools. Each Bidder shall submit with its bid, a Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company licensed to write business in the State of New Jersey, stating that the Surety will provide the successful bidder and its subcontractors with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. As Bid security, each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, in accordance with the amounts and terms described in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Summit Board of Education requires that all Bids shall comply with the bidding requirements specified in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Summit Board of Education may waive informalities in Bids in accordance with the law. The Summit Board of Education also reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in accordance with the law. Substantial Completion of the Work at Brayton Elementary School, Jefferson Elementary School and Summit High School shall be accomplished by August 20, 2026 Substantial Completion of the Work at Contract at the Summit Middle School shall be accomplished by November 12, 2026 Final Completion of the Work shall be no later than seven (7) consecutive calendar days from the date of Substantial Completion of the Work.
