Bids, along with bid securities, must be enclosed in a properly SEALED envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder and the NATURE OF THE BID CONTAINED THEREIN. A Bid Security is required in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000.00, in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check, made payable to the City of Summit. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of any and all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations and requirements, including but not limited to: N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (Prevailing Wage Act); N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Statement of Ownership Disclosure); N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. (Affirmative Action); N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration), and the City's adopted minimum standard insurance requirements. The Common Council reserves the right to reject all bids or proposals, waive any minor defects, and consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. No charge shall be made or recovery had for publishing any official advertising unaccompanied by such statement of price. A Pre-Bid Conference will NOT be held for this bid. In order to be given consideration, written requests for interpretation must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bid The Scope of Work for the base bid for this project consists of the following: Mill & Pave of the existing roadway of Lorraine Place, Lorraine Road, & Sherman Avenue, as shown on the project plans. The removal and replacement of existing non-compliant handicap ramps with ADA-compliant ramps. The replacement of existing storm drainage curb pieces with storm water regulation compliant head pieces. The removal and replacement of existing non-compliant grates with storm water regulation grates. The installation of new sewer pipes and structures, as shown on the project plans The installation of roadway striping markings and painting as directed. The Scope of Work for Alternate A for this project consists of the following: Mill & Pave of the existing roadway of McGregor Ave, as shown on the project plans. The removal and replacement of existing non-compliant handicap ramps with ADA-compliant ramps. The replacement of existing storm drainage curb pieces with storm water regulation compliant head pieces. The removal and replacement of existing non-compliant grates with storm water regulation grates. The installation of roadway striping markings and painting as directed.
