Sealed bids are sought for Leaves, Brush and Mixed Vegetation Removal Services. Detailed requests for bids are available from the Finance and Revenue Department, Division of Purchasing, Municipal Building, Room 203, One Civic Square, Irvington, NJ 07111, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A non-refundable fee of $50.00 per bid packet is required. The Proposal Form must include a Proposal Guarantee in the form of Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Guarantee Bid Bond, and a Certification from a Surety Company for 10% of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide a satisfactory Surety Performance Bond for the full contract or purchase order amount. Original and 4 copies of the bid package are required. A properly executed non-collusion affidavit must accompany the Proposal Form. Proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the bidder’s name and "Leaves, Brush and Mixed Vegetation Removal Services." Bids can be mailed or delivered, but must be received before the specified opening time, and should be sent to the Township Clerk's Office, Municipal Building, Room 116. Bidders must comply with legal provisions including regulations on public works wages, the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Affirmative Action requirements, and disclosure of stockholders or partners owning over 10% interest. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening. The Municipal Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Township. The Council also reserves the right to make awards for parts or all of the bids to one or more bidders.
