Site work and paving for a recreation facility in Lynne, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a recreation facility.
As of January 13, 2026, project is awarded to Musson Brothers Inc., in the amount of $54,112.50. The work consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 0.7 miles of ATV trail in the Town of Lynne. The contractor is required to supply and spread materials according to bid specifications. Bids must be sealed and marked accordingly, with only one bid per sealed envelope. Rehabilitate portions of approximately 0.7 miles of existing Little Rice ATV / UTV Trail marked on the attached map: The contractor shall supply, haul and spread approximately 555 cubic yards (830 tons) of pit-run and 555 cubic yards (830 tons) of 2"- 3" rock. The deepest low spots/holes on the trail will be filled with 2"-3" rock and capped with pit-run. Any large rocks currently in the trail that pose a safety hazard to the current/future trail condition shall be removed. The remainder of the trail shall be layered with pit-run to bring back to grade or slightly above grade to allow for crowning and water drainage, where required. PROJECT LOCATION This trail rehabilitation project is located in Section 22 of T37N-R4E, Town of Lynne, Oneida County, WI. Contractor shall provide the necessary pit-run and rock for this project. The Oneida County Forestry Department does not have a gravel pit to acquire any materials. Pit-run material shall not contain any rocks greater than 3" in size and must be a good mix of rock, sand, clay, and silt. An approximate 4 inch depth of rock shall be placed and spread as evenly as possible on the 12 foot width footprint of the trail in areas designated by the County, although lesser depths on the sides of the trail due to the crown. This will then be capped with 4 inches of pit-run. Material (tons, yards, truckloads) volumes used shall be calculated and provided to the County on a weekly basis. The finished trail shall be graded relatively smooth and evenly packed (via trucks, dozer or other) with a 12 foot wide trail base and have a crowned/shaped surface capable of shedding water equally to both sides. The crown of the trail shall be approximately 2-4%. A compactor is not necessary for this project, unless the contractor deems it appropriate. The 0.7 mile trail terrain is as follows: 100% of the trail is somewhat level. All work must be completed between April 1st - December 4th, 2026. Please call or email with any questions.
