The project involves the construction for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Phase II Expansion: Contract 1 Wastewater Treatment Plant for Stanly County Utilities. The work includes relocating the Phase I package headworks, installation of two new Equalization Basins with an associated pump station (Deduct Alternative No. 1), two new Aeration Basins with fine bubble diffusers, a selector tank and a swing zone, one new 75-ft diameter Secondary Clarifier, modifications to the existing Phase I RAS Pump Station, installation of a new Phase II RAS Pump Station, two new Disc Filters, expansion of the Chlorine Contact Chamber and Effluent Pump Station, modifications to the Aerated Sludge Digestion/Holding System including upgrades and conversions of existing equipment, installation of a new Sludge Loading Stand, a new duplex Drain Pump Station and conversion of the existing drain pump station to gravity manhole, installation of a new generator and transfer switch, rehabilitation and decommissioning of water supply wells, construction of a new Process Building and a new Maintenance Building (Deduct Alternative No. 2), upgrades to the existing Control/Laboratory Building, rock excavation and removal, site piping and grading work, and all associated electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work. Bidders are required to show evidence of proper licensing, submit bid security equal to five percent of the bid, and comply with ARPA and USDA requirements. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all bids. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on quality, performance, and proposed time for contract performance.
