The project involves the installation of approximately 1,650 linear feet of 24-inch, 9,900 linear feet of 20-inch, and 16,900 linear feet of 16-inch force mains. It also requires the expansion of the McCoy Creek Pump Station, which includes the addition of a splitter box, screening, a wet well with two 60-horsepower submersible pumps, a valve vault, and associated appurtenances. Bidders must show evidence of being licensed to perform the work as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87. A bid security amounting to five percent of the bid must accompany each bid. Compliance with the America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and USDA Rural Development Rural Utility Service requirements is mandatory, including Build America, Buy America Act provisions, unless specific waivers apply. Bids from small, minority, and female contractors, as well as qualified disadvantaged business enterprises, are encouraged. The owner reserves the right to waive informality or reject any or all bids.
