Labor participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women for each job category. Work under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment that are needed to install new chain link fence, and refurbish, repair, remove or replace existing chain link fences and gates on various state highways and facilities in District 5. The intent of this contract is to repair or replace, in a timely manner, damage to fence components at various locations. No work shall be performed under this contract unless it is specifically authorized and directed by the Engineer. All work shall be performed within, and accessed by, existing State, City or Town roadway layouts. No rights to enter upon, or occupy, private property have been acquired for this project. Fence work shall be performed from the MassDOT owned side of fence to the greatest extent possible.
