This project consists of extending Technology Parkway approximately 1,500 linear feet to connect with Union Road, the installation of Discovery Drive, site grading, 2,900 linear feet of storm sewer, 4,700 linear feet of subdrains, 2,400 linear feet of water main, 1,900 linear feet of sanitary sewer, connections to the existing industrial park trail systems, street trees, and establishment of a landscaping buffer. The work under the proposed contract shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed and shall be performed regularly and diligently throughout the duration of the project. Contractor shall intermediately complete mass grading and temporary access installations no later than June 1st. Incentive Disentive amounts shall be applied to the intermediate work deadline with $3,000 per calendar day awarded for early completion and $2,500 per calendar day will be assessed for each calendar day after the intermediate completion date. Intermediate Completion includes completion of mass grading work and having temporary access drives installed and usable as detailed in the plans and specifications to the Owner’s satisfaction. The Contractor shall be substantially completed no later than October 31, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000 per calendar day shall be assessed for each calendar day after the substantial completion date. Substantial completion includes the completion of all utilities, roadway pavement, signing, pavement markings, and open to the public for Technology Parkway and Discovery Drive. POSITIVE EFFORT DOCUMENTATION WHEN NO GOALS ARE ASSIGNED Contractors are also required to make positive effortsin utilizing TSBs on all State-assisted projects which are not assigned goals.
