As of March 11, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded by the Authority Board in May. Sealed bids are invited for the rehabilitation of the Prallsville Culvert Pit and miscellaneous components at Prallsville Mills - Delaware & Raritan Canal, 33 Risler St, Stockton Borough, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. All bids must include a bid security of at least 10% of the total bid price or $20,000, whichever is less. The project is classified as a Public Work and is subject to the NJ Prevailing Wage Act and the NJ Public Works Contractor Registration Act. A contract goal is set for 25% participation by New Jersey-based Division of Revenue-registered small businesses, and contractors are also required to make a good faith effort to include 3% participation by eligible disabled veteran businesses. Compliance is required with the State of New Jersey Business Registration Certification Act, Affirmative Action Compliance requirements, the Diane B. Allen Equal Pay Act, the Small/Disabled Veteran Business Set Aside Act, and Pay to Play Prohibitions and Political Contribution Disclosure requirements. Question Deadline 01/31/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Invitation for Bids shall be submitted to the Authority in writing to: Stephen Gates, P.E., Chief Engineer New Jersey Water Supply Authority PO Box 5196 Clinton, NJ 08809 Email: sgates@njwsa.org This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is being released by the New Jersey Water Supply Authority, hereinafter referred to as the "Authority," to obtain bids for the rehabilitation of the Prallsville Culvert Pit and Prallsville Spillway which were damaged by remnants of Hurricane Ida in 2021. The open pit connects two existing masonry culverts and has partially collapsed. The spillway has four nonoperational sluice gates and a damaged stone abutment. The project proposes to utilize concrete box culverts to connect the existing culverts within the pit and fill to grade. The sluice gates will be removed and the erosion at the abutment will be repaired in kind. The work required includes the provision of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary as required by the contract documents.
