Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clive, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to construct HMA overlays on various residential streets south of Hickman Road between NW 144th Street and NW 152nd Street in the City of Clive, Iowa. Project items include full depth patching, milling, HMA overlay, intake reconstruction, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, fixture adjustments, traffic control, and restoration. Specific project locations, along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used, are as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. Each bidder must accompany their bid with bid security in an amount equal to ten percent of the total bid amount. Preference shall be given to domestic construction materials and Iowa domestic labor as required by Iowa statutes. Failure to submit a fully completed Bidder Status Form may result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and rejected. The bidder shall not include sales tax in the bid, as the City will provide tax exemption certificates and authorization letters to the Contractor and all identified Subcontractors. Work on the improvements shall commence on or before the late start date of July 6, 2026 and shall be completed by September 4, 2026. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said completion provisions will be assessed at the rate of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten (10) percent of the total bid amount.
