Scope of Work The scope of work shall include, but may not be limited to the following: A. The Work of this Section provides for the labor of the demolition of the existing foul air equipment and the installation of the 2 rail systems in accordance with the drawings provided. B. All work in this section must follow the designed drawings unless otherwise approved by the Department in writing. C. The work provided in this section must meet CalOSHA and the Department's safety standards. D. SBMWD will coordinate the isolation and cleaning of the wet wells prior to the contractor performing the work. Only one wet well can be offline at a time. E. Demolish and dispose of 20" foul air duct and foul air scrubber as shown in drawing D-1. Install new 20" FRP flange onto existing pipe at the through wall stub out and install a new FRP blind flange. F. Perform a 3' X 3' sawcut through the existing deck for access to the new South submersible recirculation pump, as shown on the supplied prints. Concrete disposal by contractor. G. Scarify and patch exposed rebar. Repair and extend the PVC liner to cover the new deck opening. Inspection of the existing openings shall be performed with the Department present, and any repairs called out on the existing liner system shall be performed as part of this scope. H. Modify the concrete fillets in the wet well at the location of the new pump base. I. Install the 3" rail support at the bottom of the deck lid and at the base of the wet well. J. Install guide rail and intermediate brackets to the floor mounted rail support. K. Repeat the above steps for the North wet well, using the existing access cover L. Install additional discharge piping and anchor pump elbow to the floor. M. Exclusions _ Permits, special inspections and engineering are excluded (signed engineering plans are provided) _ SBMWD will provide all electrical disconnects and reconnects. _ New cover plates and access covers will be provided and installed by SBMWD. _ New concrete curb for the South access cover is not required and excluded from the scope. _ Pumps, guide rails, rail supports, elbows, and discharge piping will be provided by SBMWD. _ The davit base shown on the prints will not be installed as part of this project.
