The scope includes removal and proper disposal of the existing PIVs and furnishing and installing two new PIVs in accordance with applicable codes and standards. The installation of the RPDAs and replacement PIVs will provide proper backflow protection, reliable system isolation, and bring the fire protection system into compliance with all applicable local, state, and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements. Question Deadline 02/25/2026 at 2:00 PM PT Building 686 Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly Installation The Contractor shall install one SCLA provided 6-inch RPDA and one SCLA provided 8-inch RPDA on the designated service line, including all necessary labor, materials, piping, fittings, valves, and supports for a complete and code-compliant installation. The Contractor shall provide proper bracing, supports, thrust blocks, and bedding as required. The Contractor shall ensure all devices are installed per manufacturer specifications and local fire/water requirements. The Contractor shall perform flushing, pressure testing, and certification of the RPDA. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing PIV. Then Contractor shall furnish and install two new PIV of appropriate size and type as approved by the AHJ. The Contractor shall set the PIV to proper elevation, orientation, and clearance requirements. The Contractor shall ensure full operational testing for the two PIV, including open/close verification. The Contractor shall restore all paving, asphalt, concrete, and landscape areas to equal or better condition than existed prior to work. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all debris, excess materials, and spoils from the site.
