MCHA had to separate the three primes (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) in PennBid in order to extend the bid due date for the Electrical Construction due to only receiving one bid for Electrical. MCHA is still evaluation the Plumbing/Mechanical Bids. The work involves Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Construction for Boiler/Thermostat Replacement and Domestic Hot Water Heaters Installation at Sidney Pollock House. Bids must be submitted electronically via the PennBid Program. The contract requires compliance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, and mandates that the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents be paid. Contractors must also ensure non-discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. A Certified Check, Bank Draft, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond amounting to five percent of the bid must be submitted, and the successful bidder must provide satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds.
