The City of Hayward is seeking a vendor to perform all aspects of landscape maintenance. Duties include weed abatement, irrigation repair and controller programming, litter pick up, mulching, shrub and tree trimming, lawn care, and general cleanup. These duties are to be completed as scheduled with quarterly maintenance reports submitted to the landscape maintenance division. The work areas include the entire housing tract between the edge of the sidewalk to the curb, specified parks, and offsite areas as marked on an attached map. Additional tasks include total bio retention cleanup prior to environmental inspections, emptying trash and recycling cans, maintaining dog poop stations, and ongoing tasks such as litter pickup, irrigation checks, mowing, fertilization, shrub trimming, and mulch application according to a specified schedule. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide complete, continuous maintenance of both automatic and manual irrigation systems, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, groundcover, hardscapes, drainage improvements, and public sidewalk surfaces immediately adjacent to landscaped areas, along with any other items or details required by the provisions of the contract.
