Ramsey County, through the Parks & Recreation Department, seeks a qualified contractor to construct a 2.7-mile bituminous trail extension consisting of grading, aggregate base, erosion control, storm sewer, bituminous trail, bituminous mill and overlay, retaining walls, pedestrian bridges, landscaping and restoration, fencing, and pedestrian crossing improvements. The Bruce Vento Regional Trail is 13 miles in length and extends from the east side of downtown St. Paul to the north County line in White Bear Township. The trail corridor passes through the cities of St. Paul, Maplewood, Vadnais Heights, Gem Lake, White Bear Lake and White Bear Township. Only 7 miles of trail have been developed from downtown St. Paul to Buerkle Road in White Bear Lake. The Phase 1 Bruce Vento Regional Trail is a new extension and is approximately 2.7 miles in length and will provide increased connections to communities within northern Ramsey County.
