The project provides for an expansion to the existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), with a new treatment train process having a treatment capacity to 2.0 million gallons per day (MGD) with the ability to expand the plant to an ultimate capacity of 2.75 MGD. The expansion and increased treatment capacity will be accomplished by constructing major facilities and improvements including: a new headworks facility with bar screen, influent pumps, fine screens, grit removal, and influent metering flume; two new primary clarifiers; a new equalization basin and pump station; two new aeration basins with feed pumps, mixers, and air diffusers; new blower units and building; two new secondary clarifiers; a new activated sludge pump station; a new tertiary treatment building with pressurized UV disinfection systems, W4 recycle water pump station, offices, crew space, and garage facility (tertiary filtration equipment is not anticipated in this contract); new automatic transfer switch and engine power system; two new sludge holding tanks; a new solids dewatering building with screw presses; other yard piping and plant utility additions, improvements, upgrades, and demolition; site civil improvements, modifications, and demolition. Supporting piping, plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, fabricated metalwork, painting, electrical, instrumentation and controls, site work, and other appurtenances necessary to complete the work are also included. Pre-qualification requirements: Applications will only be accepted from applicants who currently possess a valid Idaho Public Works Contractors License. A separate Application for Prequalification, specifically for the proposed project, must be prepared and submitted. Bids will only be accepted from firms who have been prequalified for the proposed project. The Owner reserves the right to reject all submissions where Owner deems rejection to be in its best interest, or to reject any submission not in compliance with the Instructions for Prequalification. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and irregularities in said submittals.
