Renovation of a recreation facility in Roosevelt, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,300-square-foot recreation facility.

The project focuses on the rehabilitation of a 1,300 square foot brick masonry amphitheater structure and surrounding hardscape. The scope of work includes replacement of approximately 1,000 individual bricks, repointing of all remaining stable brick facades (approximately 1,075 square feet), replacement of three brick step sets, and replacement of 325 square yards of exposed aggregate concrete and brick pavement. Additional work includes milling and surfacing all surrounding asphalt pathways, the addition of a new asphalt pathway extension, installation of new electrical outlets and lighting elements at the amphitheater (in-step lights and two light poles with flood lights), and connecting the electrical supply to a nearby utility shed. A bronze monument with a natural stone base is to be protected and the stone base cleaned and recaulked. Minor grading, reseeding, sodding of disturbed soils, and planting of shrubs and trees between the amphitheater and the utility shed are also included. Proposals must be submitted on the designated forms, in sealed opaque envelopes with the bidder's name and project name on the outside, and include a Non-Collusion Affidavit, a bid bond or certified check (not less than 10% of the bid, between $500 and $20,000), and a copy of the Business Registration Certificate. All surety bonds must be from a company listed on the Federal Treasury List. Bid documentation must be obtained by registering with the Borough Engineer and paying the required fee. Bidders must comply with the Local Public Contracts Law, the Prevailing Wage Act, Affirmative Action, and all requirements in the Instructions to Bidders. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after bid opening. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the bid best serving its interest. The awarded contractor must maintain all contract-related records for five years from final payment. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
