Interested contractors shall submit one sealed copy of their Bid Form and a separately sealed Bid Bond to the City Clerk, City of Bonner Springs. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope with "Lions Park Ballfields Lighting" and must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure timely delivery of the bid to the City Clerk's office. Late bids due to mail or delivery issues will not be considered. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Points of Contact Questions concerning this request are to be directed to: Justine Spease, Recreation Director | 913.422.5321 | jspease@bonnersprings.org This project will upgrade the existing lighting at Fields 1 & 3 in Lions Park (300 West Morse Ave, Bonner Springs, KS 66012) from halogen bulbs to LED with capabilities to remotely turn lights on/off and advance scheduling. Field 1: Remove existing halogen light fixtures and replace with LED fixtures. Average footcandle for outfield shall be 30 or higher. Average footcandle for infield shall be 50 or higher. Filed 3: Removal of existing wooden poles and halogen light fixtures and replace with steel poles and LED fixtures. Average footcandle for outfield shall be 30 or higher. Average footcandle for infield shall be 50 or higher. General: The maximum beam candlepower of a single luminaire should not exceed 80 percent of the average illuminance level at any given point on the field. Each field shall have the ability to remotely schedule the lights for on/off use with the capability to add Field 2 in the future. Contractor shall supply all necessary equipment and labor for the proper removal, installation, and clean up for this project. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits to work in the City of Bonner Springs, KS. All electrical work shall be done by a licensed electrician provided by the contractor.
