Sealed bids are requested for Capital Fund 2023 Nanty Glo & Portage Window Replacement and for Capital Fund 2023 Nanty Glo & Portage Concrete & Handrail Replacement - General Construction. Interested parties can obtain bid documents containing project information and detailed submission requirements for a non-refundable payment. Only contractors obtaining bid documents from the Design Professional are considered registered bidders. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled to review project goals, regulations, and concerns. Each bid must include a Certified Check or Bank Draft, or a satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent of the bid, with a separate bond required for each bid. Bids must be submitted separately for each contract in two sealed and clearly labeled envelopes. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds. All applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for federally assisted construction contracts must be met, including compliance with Executive Orders 11246, 11625, and 12138; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and payment of prevailing minimum wages and minority business participation. This is a Section 3 covered project, promoting utilization of local business concerns and employment opportunities for qualified lower-income residents. The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive any informality, and withhold contract award for ninety days.
