The scope of work is generally described as Public Works Locker Room Improvements. Bidders are instructed that the bidding documents and full sets of plans may be viewed and downloaded online free of charge, with printed copies available for the cost of reproduction. Bids should be submitted at the Village Hall in sealed envelopes clearly labeled “Public Works Locker Room Improvements,” with two copies of the proposal included. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid is required, either as a cashier’s or certified check or a bid bond from a surety company licensed in Illinois with a general rating of A and a financial size category of Class III or better. The successful Bidder must furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the contract upon award. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Owner will receive bids for alterations to improve the existing men's and women's locker rooms in the existing Public Works facility. The Work will include: Selective demolition of interior elements, concrete, masonry, custom casework, carpentry/general trades, doors, frames, hardware, drywall, flooring, acoustical ceilings, ceramic tile, painting, signage, toilet partitions and accessories, metal lockers, fire sprinkler system modifications, plumbing fixtures, piping modifications, HVAC ductwork modifications, electrical lighting and power modifications. The Owner will be applying for a Utility Energy Rebate. Energy Efficiency Measures associated with this project require installing contractor/s to be certified with Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) as a Certified Energy Efficiency Measures Installer.
