Project consists of the turnkey removal and replacement of all site fencing and all fencing and concrete caps on existing retaining and block walls. Work includes removing all existing metal fencing, concrete wall caps, and related flashing to facilitate new installations. The Base Bid-Option A requires removal and replacement of approximately 235 concrete wall caps and related flashing with new precast concrete caps and cap flashing, and new fence embedded into metal sleeve installed into the first course of existing concrete block. There are several alternates including powder coating existing fencing, using welded plates for fence installation, and adding color additives to new concrete caps. Inspection and repair of existing split face block retaining walls for structural deficiencies is included. All new fencing must be 42" industrial grade flat top ornamental picket with 3" x minimum .125 aluminum posts secured to wall, and all penetrations sealed with industrial grade sealant specified by the manufacturer. Contractor must provide sealed drawings by a PA Commonwealth Design Professional, shop drawings, and obtain code approval and permit. Work is to be performed on site between June 10th and August 15th, coordinated with the Owner. Bidders must submit a detailed proposal with a lump sum base bid price, alternates as described, and proof of qualifications on an A305 form. Bids must include all required documentation and proposal security in the form of a bid bond by an acceptable surety company or a certified check, bank treasurer's check, or cashier's check equal to 10% of the total proposal amount.
