The project involves the IRIS LANE WEST POND AND EAST POND BANK RESTORATION PROJECT. Bidders are required to submit their proposals in sealed envelopes with proper identification. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the Engineer and may only be obtained electronically upon review of prequalification information. A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each proposal as a guarantee. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond amounting to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. All applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, including prevailing wage rates as established by the State of Illinois Department of Labor, must be observed. Bidder qualifications and experience will factor into the selection of the lowest responsible bidder. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, or postpone the bid opening for the best interest of the Village. Pre-qualification requirements: Prequalifications will be required of all bidders. The Engineer may refuse to issue plans, specifications, and proposals to any party considered unqualified. Prequalifications must be submitted to the Engineer. If an applicant is deemed unable to serve the best interest of the Village, a proposal will not be issued to the applicant.
