The project consists of the total replacement of all water mains in the City of Churdan, along with new service lines to the current meter location in the structures, and miscellaneous associated work. Bids are requested for the Contract titled "2025 Water Main Improvements - Churdan, IA." Instructions to bidders include the following: Bid security must be provided in an amount of five percent of the bidder's maximum bid price and may be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond. Work on the project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act requirements, with all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used needing to be produced in the United States unless a waiver is approved. Contractors must provide Manufacturer's Certification for all BABA-covered items, coordinate with suppliers for documentation, and provide documentation for change orders. Waivers for BABAA De Minimis, Small Grants, and Minor Components apply. Compliance with funding requirements, Davis-Bacon wage rates, and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 is required. Contractors must post required notices, provide employment and contracting opportunities to Section 3 Workers and Businesses, and document efforts and compliance as outlined in 24 CFR part 75.
