Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is inviting contractors and suppliers to apply to be placed on an Open Construction Source List (OCSL) for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and civil work required by the Department of National Defence at CFB Calgary and its satellite sites in Alberta. The OCSL will be used to tender construction services valued at $10 million and below. Interested contractors and suppliers must submit a request to be placed on the OCSL through the MERX posting, indicating their preferred official language (English or French). Contractors and suppliers previously on the OCSL must re-apply for the new term. Faxed, mailed, or emailed submissions will not be accepted. Contractors and suppliers will be invited electronically through MERX to bid as opportunities arise. Bidders must have an active MERX account and be registered on the OCSL to submit electronic bids. DCC reserves the right to establish additional or specific source lists, verify the interest of listed contractors, require further pre-qualification for certain tenders, and set aside tenders for Indigenous businesses according to the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business. Contracts may include performance standards, are subject to a procurement code of conduct, and may require specific security clearances. DCC may reject applications not meeting requirements and may request clarifications from applicants.
