The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the Owner. Construction of proposed Well No. 10 to replace the existing Well No. 7. Work includes connecting the proposed Well No. 10 to the raw water piping in the well house via site piping and abandoning and sealing existing Well No. 7. Major components of the Work include: o Construction of approximately 302 linear feet of ductile iron raw water main to connect proposed Well 10 to existing well house. o Site grading and restoration in vicinity of proposed Well 10. (Well drilled by others under separate contract.) o Concrete pad and bollards around proposed Well 10. (Well drilled by others under separate contract.) o Process piping demolition and replacement inside existing well house, including extending process piping through building footing. o Concrete floor demolition and replacement inside existing well house. o Cutting off existing Well 7 casing beneath existing well house floor. (Well 7 abandonment by others under separate contract.) o Electrical demolition inside existing well house. o Electrical improvements for proposed Well 10 including new VFD and extending power and controls to proposed Well 10 location. o Replacing well feeder breaker in existing motor control center. o Upgrading existing controls remote terminal unit (RTU). o Painting well process piping in existing well house. Q/A:- All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect The Work will be substantially completed on or before June 30, 2026 ; Final completion- July 31, 2026.
