Chip and Seal of various county roads including paint markings . Sealed bids are sought for the 2026 Chip and Seal Phase 1 project. Bidders must obtain bid documents from the Huron County Engineer for a non-refundable fee, with an additional charge for shipping if mailed. Each proposal must include a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond as per Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, issued by an authorized surety company in Ohio. Proposals must list all submitting parties and include evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Completion is required by August 28, 2026. Compliance with prevailing wage rates in Huron County is required, as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration. Bid documents must be submitted in their original, bound format--no copies accepted. The Board of County Commissioners of Huron County reserves the right to waive irregularities and may reject any or all bids.
