Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The work generally includes but is not limited to replacement of approximately 641 linear feet of existing 8" VCP sewer main with 8" PVC sewer main, and two (2) manholes along Cherry Street in the Borough of Mifflinburg. The work includes all materials, equipment, labor, necessary apparatuses, and other miscellaneous labor and materials as contemplated by the Contract Documents. Bids are requested for a Single Prime Contract. Bid security in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted via PennBid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date. The Borough of Mifflinburg reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough of Mifflinburg, and to reject any or all proposals.
