Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in South Bend, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Work includes rehabilitation of Riverwalk trails and the portage along the edge of St. Joseph River between the East Race headgates and Jefferson Boulevard and includes construction of site improvements including but not limited to boardwalks, concrete sidewalks, planters, site lighting, landscaping, parking lot rehabilitation and a new stair connection on the north side of Jefferson Boulevard bridge as well as removal and replacement of the concrete stairs on the south side of Jefferson Boulevard into Howard Park in South Bend, all more particularly described in plans and specifications prepared by SmithGroup, Inc. Bids must be submitted electronically on the City of South Bend Contractor's Bid for Public Work Form and accompanied by an electronic copy of a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid plus any alternates. The awarded bidder will be required to send the original check or bid bond via USPS. Each bidder or contractor must comply with the "City of South Bend EEO Contracting Provision Diversity Utilization" included in the specifications as to each construction trade it intends to use on this construction contract and all other construction work (both federal and non-federal) in the St. Joseph County area during the performance of this contract or subcontract. The contractor commits to the goals for minority manpower and all other requirements, terms and conditions of the bid conditions by submitting a properly sealed bid. Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. It is the bidder's sole responsibility to comply with all submission requirements applicable to the bidder in Section 6-63 of the Responsible Bidder Ordinance by the date of public bid opening. The City reserves the right to request supplemental information and may conduct random inquiries of the bidder's current and previous customers regardless of pre-qualified status.
