Renovation of a mixed-use development in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to construct a new chiller plant at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center in accordance with all Department of Veterans Affairs requirements, industry standards, and applicable federal, state, and local codes. Work includes constructing a building addition to house the new systems; installing three chillers, cooling towers, backup diesel generators with fuel storage, and all associated utility support systems; and performing site realignment, including relocation of the bulk oxygen tank and modifications to parking and site access. The project must deliver complete, functional, and energy-efficient systems, including any partially modified systems affected by the construction. All work must comply with contract drawings and specifications, and the contractor is responsible for furnishing everything necessary to accomplish the project. The maximum project duration is 600 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed, and the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.
