Project Description: The Work generally consists of the following: construction of new Wellhouse 16, new raw waterline using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) from Well 16 to Water Treatment Plant 1, and waterline connection at Water Treatment Plant 1. Water Treatment Plant 1: 3001 5th St NW, New Brighton, MN 55112. The work consists of the construction of a new wellhouse and raw watermain utilities to connect to existing raw water utilities. Alternate exterior improvement items at existing Wellhouses 8 and 9 are also included. The elements of the project include a 14' x 30' Wellhouse 16 building, process piping with ductile iron pipe, valves, and appurtenances, mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems, new control system hardware such as PLCs, operator interfaces, instrumentation, and wiring, skylights and windows, painting and special coatings for both new and existing structures, miscellaneous bituminous and concrete pavement, approximately 575' of raw watermain utilities using open trench and horizontal directional drilling, site grading, specialty landscaping, site restoration, erosion and sediment control, and miscellaneous and incidental work as described in the bidding documents.
