The scope of work includes rehabilitation improvements for Tiger Field Recreation Park. Bidders are required to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of these improvements. The project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed date, with all work for the ballfield and northern parking lot to be completed prior to September 1, 2026, to allow for the recreational football season and all amenities to be operational. Instructions to bidders include attending a mandatory pre-bid conference for all contractors submitting proposals as the prime contractor, with sub-contractors and product vendors also encouraged to attend. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Owner in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid, representing that the Bidder will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, if awarded the contract. The Bid Bond will be forfeited if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide the required bonds within ten days after notification of award. Only bids from certified bidders who have obtained a bid package from the Engineer will be considered. All bidders must adhere to the Build America, Buy America Act requirements for materials used in the project. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and applicable supplemental documents shall apply. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept any bid in its opinion that is in the best interest of the Owner, with the right to add or delete from the contract after award. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
