Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Repairs and rehabilitation of potable water storage tanks as identified in the API 653 Inspection Reports, including corrosion removal, steel repairs, and replacement of defective steel plates or sections with ASTM A36 steel or equivalent. All steel repairs must be inspected by a licensed structural engineer, and welds must undergo visual and non-destructive testing in accordance with API 653. Work includes replacement of deteriorated and corroded bolts with stainless steel or galvanized bolts, nuts, and washers meeting AWWA and ASTM standards, torqued to manufacturer specifications. All coating, repair, and disinfection activities must maintain potable water quality integrity and comply with current AWWA D100, AWWA D102, AWWA C652, API 653, OSHA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. All work must be completed within 730 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed in accordance with construction drawings and specifications prepared by an independent Architect-Engineer firm. The contractor shall complete the work required within 730 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) in accordance with the construction drawings and specifications prepared by an independent Architect-Engineer firm. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
