The project generally consists of the installation of concrete sidewalk and curbing associated with ADA compliant curb ramps and bump outs, rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB's), pavement markings, signs, and other miscellaneous related work items as detailed on the construction plans, located in the Borough of Spring Lake Heights, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Each bid must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the project title and the name and address of the Bidder. The original paper copy of the bid and a thumb drive with an electronic pdf copy of the bid submission must be included. Bid Security is required in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). A certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. Bidders must be registered by the New Jersey Department of Labor pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act and registered by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue pursuant to the Business Registration Act. Bidders are also required to comply with applicable statutory requirements set forth in the Contract Documents. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect not detrimental to the best interest of the Borough and fairness of the bidding process, and to increase or decrease quantities as specified in the Contract Documents.
