Renovation of an educational facility in Portage, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids, in triplicate, are requested for the 12th Street Interior and Exterior Lighting Replacement project at Portage Public Schools. Bidders must be reputable, recognized organizations with at least five years of successful experience on similar work and must have appropriate licenses and sufficient financial resources. Each bid must include a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement disclosing any familial relationship between the bidder and the District's Board of Education or Superintendent. A pre-bid meeting is encouraged for all bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security or bond not less than 5% of the bid amount, securing the owner against withdrawal or failure to enter into a contract. Performance, Labor, and Material bonds are required for contracts exceeding $50,000 from a surety company rated A- or better. Bids may not be faxed, emailed, or uploaded electronically and must be physically received by the stated deadline.
