Site work for a mixed-use development in Franklin, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and educational facility.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Hardscape Improvements Project at Franklin Middle School and Franklin High School located at 625 Grizzly Cub Drive and 2600 Cumberland Drive, Franklin, IN, respectively. The work must comply with specifications and contract drawings prepared by the designated architect/consultant. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate using the provided Bid Supplement, properly completed, and accompanied by Indiana State Board of Account Form No. 96 (2013), Parts I and II. A certified check, cashier's check, money order, or a satisfactory bid bond for at least 5% of the total bid, executed by the bidder and a recognized surety company, must be submitted with each proposal in a sealed envelope showing the bidder's name and address. Prime contractors are to encourage qualified minority subcontractors to perform portions of the work not done by their own forces and must provide written evidence of solicitations to minority subcontractors. Proposals received after the deadline will be returned unopened. The successful bidder must furnish approved performance and labor/material payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount. Bonds must remain effective for 12 months after acceptance of the work and be submitted upon written notice to proceed. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive errors, with the intent to award contracts within 30 days. If the awarded bidder withdraws or fails to execute the contract and bonds within 10 days, the bid security may be forfeited as liquidated damages.
