Renovation of an educational facility in Franklin, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed proposals are being requested for a Roof Replacement Project at Franklin Community Middle School located at 625 Grizzly Cub Drive, Franklin, Indiana. The work must be done in accordance with specifications and contract drawings prepared by the Architect/Consultant. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate, using the Bid Supplement provided, with all blanks properly filled, along with Indiana State Board of Account Form No. 96 (2013), Parts I and II. Each proposal must include a certified check, cashier's check, money order, or satisfactory Bid Bond for no less than 5 percent of the total bid price, enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope with the bidder's name and address. Prime contractors are encouraged to solicit bids from qualified minority subcontractors for work not completed by their own forces and must provide written evidence of these solicitations with their bids. The project will be let as a single, prime contract. Base and alternate bids must be submitted as described in the bidding documents. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or to waive any informality or errors in bidding for 30 days from the bid date. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract amount, from an approved surety company, effective for 12 months after acceptance of the work. Bonds must be provided at the time of written Notice to Proceed. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is highly recommended.
