Remodeling of a municipal facility in Vernon, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

Contractor shall furnish labor, materials, equipment, services, and specialized skills to perform work involved in the Project. The work includes demolition, remodeling, and refurbishment of a men's and women's restroom on the third floor of Vernon City Hall, located at 4305 Santa Fe Ave., Vernon, CA 90058. Interior work includes removal, patching, repair, and installation of partitions, drywall, T-bar ceiling tiles and framing, metal stud kickers/braces, texture and painting of walls and ceilings, removal and replacement of metal and door casings and base molds, replacement of all interior doors, removal and replacement of carpeting, fixtures, cabinets, and installation of new electronics and office furniture. All interior work must comply with the 2022 California Building Code. Electrical work includes new wiring, interior light fixtures, outlets, conduits, and wiring to meet the current electrical code requirements, and new wired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, in compliance with the 2022 California Electrical Code. Mechanical work includes removal and installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, supply and return diffusors/registers, suspended strap attachments, and new HVAC unit, compliant with the 2022 California Mechanical Code. Plumbing work includes replacement of the complete sanitary drainage system to the property line with PVC piping, re-piping all water lines from meter to fixtures with copper Type L piping, and any other re-piping required, in compliance with the 2022 California Plumbing Code. Installation costs for appliances are included in the bid items. The project consists of the demolition, remodeling, and refurbishment of a men's and women's restroom on the third floor of Vernon City Hall, located at 4305 Santa Fe Ave., Vernon, CA 90058. Bidders must satisfactorily document completion of at least three prevailing wage public contracts in California, comparable in scope and scale, within three years before the bid deadline, each with a dollar value greater than the bid amount submitted. Bidding requirements also include properly listing licensed subcontractors, providing bid security of 10% of the total maximum bid, submitting on official forms, and adhering to prevailing wage and DIR registration requirements. Work must be completed within 90 calendar days from commencement. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and will remain valid for 90 calendar days after the bid deadline. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and determine the lowest responsible bidder. Engineer's Estimate. An Engineer's Estimate of the cost of construction of this Work has been prepared. Said estimate is in the range of $120,000 to $125,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
