Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Wharton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes parking lot improvements on the corner of Pine Street and North Main Street, and at the end of Eileen Court. The work includes the development of a recycling center at the end of Eileen Court to replace the existing one on Pine Street prior to redeveloping the Pine Site recycling center into a parking lot. The work includes removals to facilitate new construction. Upgrades along Pine Street and North Main Street will include granite block curb, concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, ADA parking spaces, striping, and light poles. Improvements in the lot will include asphalt pavement, parking striping, granite block curb, light posts, bike racks, concrete sidewalk, cast-in-place retaining wall, and signage. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Forms contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the project and the name and address of the bidder. The bid must be delivered to the Owner prior to bid opening at the above address. Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty-thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and grantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. Bidders are required to be registered at the time bids will be received by the owner by the New Jersey Department of Labor pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act and also by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue pursuant to the Business Registration Act. Bidders are required to comply with applicable statutory requirements set forth in the Contract Documents including Affirmative Action, Prevailing Wage, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The Borough of Wharton reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Borough of Wharton and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents.
