Renovation of an educational facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the Woodlawn High School Fire Alarm Replacement, Project No. 2027-218. The project requires a Louisiana licensed contractor with a major classification as a fire alarm contractor. Bidding documents can be obtained from the project designer upon payment and are refundable to bona fide prime bidders submitting a bid and returning the documents in good condition within ten days after the bid receipt. Bid security equal to five percent of the total bid is required. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount. Liquidated damages for late completion will be $450 per day beyond the established completion date. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are encouraged to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held, and attendance for the full duration is required for bidder eligibility. The project budget is $450,000.
