Renovation of an educational facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for Project No. 2027-239, Captain Shreve Restrooms. Prime bidders are required to obtain an original set of bidding documents from the designated designer. A Louisiana licensed contractor with a major classification as General Contractor is required for this project. Bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, in an acceptable form, must be included with the bid. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Liquidated damages of $400 per day will be assessed for each day the work is not completed beyond the 67-day completion period. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Attendance by a qualified representative at the mandatory pre-bid conference is a pre-condition for bidder eligibility, and attendees must sign in and remain for the duration. Failure to meet these requirements will prohibit bid submission for the project.
