Renovation of an educational facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Renovation of restrooms at University Elementary. Bidders must obtain a complete set of bidding documents from the designer and a Louisiana licensed contractor with a major classification as building construction is required. Bid security equal to five percent of the total bid in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check must be attached. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount. Liquidated damages of $400 per day will be applied for each day beyond the 67-day completion date. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five days after opening. The Board encourages the use of 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference by an officer, estimator, or other knowledgeable individual is required as a pre-condition for bidder eligibility. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
