Sealed bids are requested for Broadmoor Restrooms, Project No. 2027-237. Complete bidding documents must be obtained from the specified architecture firm, with a refundable deposit for prime bidders upon return of documents in good condition. Only Louisiana licensed contractors with a major classification in building construction are eligible. The Base Bid Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Demolish the interior of the existing Boys and Girls Restroom, where located on the Drawings, including plumbing fixtures, doors and frames, select interior walls, toilet partitions, light fixtures, ceramic tile floor finishes and mortar bed, and restroom hardware, where indicated on Drawings. 2. Provide and install new plumbing fixtures, including toilets, urinals, multi-station hand wash sinks, and hose bibs. 3. Provide and install new toilet and urinal partitions. 4. Provide and install new acoustic suspended ceiling and light fixtures. 5. Construct new walls, including fire rated walls. 6. Provide and install new doors, frames, and hardware. 7. Provide and install resinous wall and floor coatings and finishes. 8. Provide and install new mortar bed. Adjust floor drains. 9. Construction of Janitor's Closet millwork. 10. Provide and install new restroom hardware designated to be furnished by Contractor and install owner furnished (OFCI) restroom hardware as noted in the Documents. 11. Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical items as noted on the Documents. 12. Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents (not designated as an Alternate). 13. Work area shown generally on Drawing Sheets CSI, A1.1, A2.1, and A2.2. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Question Deadline 03/16/2026 Bidders requiring clarifications or interpretation of the Bidding documents shall make a written request to the Architect Bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid is required in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, and must follow the prescribed format. A performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, written by a company licensed in Louisiana, is also required. Liquidated damages are set at $400.00 per day for each consecutive calendar day beyond the established completion date of 67 days. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 45 days after opening. The board may reject any or all bids. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference by a qualified representative is required for eligibility, and attendees must remain for the entire conference; those arriving late or leaving early are prohibited from bidding. The project budget is $400,000.00.
