SEALED BIDS will be received for Caddo Heights Parking, Project No. 2027-228. Complete bidding documents may be obtained from Owen Engineering, LLC upon receipt of a $50.00 fee per set, with an additional $50.00 for shipping and handling if mailed. PRIME BIDDERS must obtain an original set of bidding documents from the designer. The deposit is refundable to prime bidders who submit a bid and return the documents in good condition within ten days after receipt of bids. Louisiana licensed contractors are required for this project with a major classification as building construction and/or highway, street, and bridge construction. BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid must be attached, and if a bid bond is provided, it must be on the provided form and from a qualified company licensed in Louisiana. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount from a Louisiana licensed company. Liquidated damages of $500.00 per day will apply for each day beyond the established completion date of 60 days. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after the bid opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for this project. Attendance for the entire duration by a knowledgeable individual is a pre-condition for bidder eligibility.
