Renovation of an educational facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the A. C. Steere HVAC Project No. 2027-750. Bidding documents are available upon payment, with a refundable deposit for bona fide prime bidders who submit a bid and return the documents in good condition within ten days after the bid receipt. Only Louisiana-licensed contractors with a major classification in mechanical are eligible. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the total bid is required, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount, from a company licensed in Louisiana. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day will be assessed for work not completed beyond the established completion date. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held, and attendance for the full duration is required for eligibility to bid. Prospective bidders arriving late or not staying for the duration are ineligible to submit a bid.
