Site work and new construction of a stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a stadium.
Sealed bids are invited for the Northwood Pressbox project, located at 5939 Old Mooringsport Road, Shreveport, LA, under Project No. 2027-234. Complete bidding documents can be obtained from the designated designer upon payment, with shipping and handling fees applicable if requested by mail. Prime bidders are required to obtain original sets of documents, which are refundable upon submission of a bid and return in good condition within ten days after bids are received. A Louisiana licensed contractor with a major classification in Building Construction is required. Bid security equal to five percent of the total bid must accompany the bid in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check from a qualified company licensed in Louisiana. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount from a qualified Louisiana company. Liquidated damages of $500 per day will apply for failure to complete work past the established completion date. Bids cannot be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The Caddo Parish School Board may reject any and all bids. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference by an officer, estimator, or other knowledgeable individual is required for eligibility to submit a prime bid, with full attendance required. The budget for the project is $500,000.
