Site work for a water / sewer project in Port Orchard, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work consists of constructing approximately 4,860 linear feet of 12-inch and 670 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, replacing existing 6-inch and 8-inch asbestos cement water main on Bethel Road SE, SE Lund Ave, and SE Salmonberries Road as shown on the Drawings and specified. Work shall include, but not be limited to, replacement of the existing water main, water services, fire hydrants, valves, connections to existing system, and general restoration. All Work shall be physically complete within 140 working days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction shall be performed in compliance with the Contract and Drawings for this Project and any addenda issued thereto. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (Drawings, Specifications, Addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", "West Sound Utility District", and "Projects Bidding". It is recommended that Bidders "Register" to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List." Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Bids are to be submitted only on the forms provided with the Bid Documents. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the deadline for the submittal of bids. Bids properly received will be publicly opened and read at the District office following the deadline for the submission of bids. Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents. Bids shall constitute offers to the District which shall be binding for thirty (30) days from the date of bid opening. All questions must be submitted in writing by the specified deadline. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bank cashier's check, surety bond, or postal money order payable to West Sound Utility District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The District reserves the right to reject any bid, any portion of any bid and/or to reject all bids, and to waive incomplete, informalities, irregularities, or nonresponsive bids. All work performed on the Project will be subject to State Prevailing Wage Rates. The Project is funded through the Washington State Public Works Board (PWB) Loan program. PWB requirements and provisions must be met by General Contractors and all Subcontractors. All Contractors and Subcontractors must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business.
