Sealed bids are invited for the 2026 Water Meter Replacement project. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft or certified check payable to the Village of Western Springs in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) or 10% of the bid price, whichever is greater, to secure the Village against loss in case of failure to comply with the terms of the bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish payment and performance bonds in the full amount of the bid or proposal by a surety company authorized in Illinois and approved by the Village. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days without the Village's consent. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws, including prevailing wage rates and employment laws, and demonstrate their ability, financial and otherwise, to fulfill the work specified. The Village reserves the right to reject any bids, waive informalities, and make an award to the lowest responsible bidder.
