The work consists of unit priced construction services for miscellaneous construction needs of an emergent nature. The scope generally includes sanitary sewer and storm drainage system repairs that require specialized excavation and shoring equipment as well as trained construction crews capable of excavating and repairing utility lines located in city streets and rights of way. Work depths are from 5 to 14 feet, often in groundwater conditions, and may also include traffic control labor and devices, backfill, compaction, and surface restoration, including asphalt pavement and concrete repair. Emergency storm debris removal may also be included. Tasks will be assigned by Task Order, and contractors must be prepared to mobilize within 24 hours of notification. Materials, equipment, and supplies shall be billed at actual cost plus a 15% markup for overhead, and invoices must include supporting material invoices. All work shall comply with the City of Sedro-Woolley Public Works Department Standards and the current edition of the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction. Proposals may be submitted in person, by mail, or by email. A formal bid opening will not be held, and results will be posted online after award.
