The Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois (the System or TRS) is requesting quotations for Parking Lot Sealcoating and Restriping at 2815 W. Washington Street, Springfield, Illinois, 62702. The objective of this Request for Quotation is to solicit competitive pricing and terms from qualified suppliers which may result in a contract to provide Parking Lot Sealcoating and Restriping to the Teachers' Retirement System. A proposer's preparation and submittal of a quotation or subsequent participation in presentations or contract negotiations creates no obligation on the System to award a contract or to pay any associated costs. All proposals and related materials will be retained by the System and will be subject to disclosure as required in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. Founded in 1939 by the Illinois General Assembly, the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS or the System) is one of the largest public pension systems in the United States. Under the Illinois Pension Code, 40 ILCS 5/16, we provide retirement, disability and survivor benefits to teachers, administrators and other licensed public-school personnel employed outside the city of Chicago. All cracks that are _" or larger must be cleaned of debris and properly prepared for hot-pour crack filling. 2. Fill all prepared cracks with IDOT approved hot-pour crack filler. 3. Clean the entire pavement area of all debris and vegetation in preparation for seal coating. 4. Apply two (2) coats of sealer to the north parking lot and the main parking lot. 5. Apply three (3) coats of sealer to the main north/south driveway from Washington Street to the north end of the property. 6. Mix and apply the sealer with sand in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications. 7. All sealcoating work shall be performed in accordance with manufacturer-recommended temperature and weather conditions. 8. Stripe the parking areas to match the existing layout, as directed by TRS. 9. All work shall be completed on weekends unless otherwise approved by TRS. 10. Upon completion of the work, remove and properly dispose of all debris, excess materials, and equipment from the site.
